Yesterday, June 7, the play "Vanyushin's Children" was a great success in Ottawa - a touching, profound and truly lively production by the Inna Vashchenko Theatre Studio from Toronto. This tour was a real gift for all connoisseurs of classical drama.
In 1901, 33-year-old Sergei Naydenov wrote his first and best play "Vanyushin's Children". The play is based on the playwright's personal biography and reflects an eternal theme - the conflict between fathers and children. More than a century has passed, but the emotional truth of this story continues to excite and touch the depths of the soul. Thanks to the bright, sincere performance of the actors of the Inna Vashchenko Theatre, the audience literally lived each scene together with the characters.
Inna Vashchenko is not just a talented director and actress, but also a person in love with the theater. She has worked in Moscow with outstanding artists. She starred in famous television projects and films. In 2016, Inna moved to Canada and founded her own Theatre Studio. Each of her performances is not only the skill of the actors and subtle direction, but also careful work with details: scenery, costumes, atmosphere - everything helps the viewer to be transported to the era, to feel the spirit of the time and the characters.
Thanks to Inna Vaschenko and the entire team of her theater for this evening filled with meaning and emotions.
We are looking forward to new meetings and premieres of the Inna Vaschenko theater in Ottawa!
