Ontario police have charged a 15-year-old Pembroke, Ont., resident after investigating a case of child romantic abuse.

In April, the Upper Ottawa Valley Police Department received information that the teen was distributing intimate images of his ex-partner without his consent. The victim also reported being secretly filmed during intimate encounters and receiving death threats.

The suspect was arrested on April 29 and faces multiple charges:

• Threats to kill or cause serious harm
• Distribution of intimate images without consent
• Possession and distribution of child pornography
• Voyeurism (two counts)

The defendant's name is being withheld in accordance with the Youth Justice Act and to protect the identity of the victim. The teen has been released on recognizance to appear in court on a set date.
