Drones

On Sunday, May 18, 2025, a unique show will take place over Dows Lake in Ottawa — the first ever Canadian Tulip Festival fireworks and drones show. The show will celebrate the 80th anniversary of Canada’s liberation of the Netherlands during World War II.

For 10 minutes, 200 drones and fireworks will create a spectacular spectacle, combining cutting-edge technology with a heroic past. It will be the final part of the festival and a tribute to Canada’s liberating soldiers.

Organizers note that the show is not only spectacular, but also more environmentally friendly and quiet than traditional fireworks. Spectators are asked to arrive early to secure good seats and become part of this historic event.
