mayor meets with premier

Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe met with Prime Minister Mark Carney and Ontario Premier Doug Ford this week to discuss key developments in the city.

During a visit to Toronto on June 4, Sutcliffe met with Ford, as well as the ministers of education and emergency response. The topics included housing, transportation, safety, and the city's economy.

The following day, he thanked Carney for meeting in Ottawa, noting their shared commitment to supporting the city. Particular attention was paid to the "Buy Local. Support Canada" campaign.

Carney, in turn, said: "We will build great projects, make the city safer, and lower the cost of living for Ottawa residents."
