Sultan Ahmet restaurant in the Glebe has reopened under new management

Turkish restaurant Sultan Ahmet, located in the north Glebe where the flagship Clocktower pub used to be, has reopened under new management after more than a month of closure.

The restaurant, a chain of the Toronto brand that opened in April 2024, abruptly closed in early July due to unpaid rent. In an interview with the Ottawa Citizen in July, Sultan Ahmet founder Ahmet Dogan spoke about a rent dispute between the owners.

An Instagram post was posted on Sunday announcing the reopening.
