DUCKLINGS ARE SAFE 🦆
This morning, passersby spotted a duck with seven ducklings near Trim Road in Ottawa.
The mother duck crossed the road safely, but the babies lagged behind and needed help.
The Ottawa Bylaw municipal service staff quickly collected the ducklings and delivered them to Petrie Island, a safe place near the water.
According to the service, the chicks look healthy and old enough to survive on their own if necessary.
“We are confident that the family will be reunited soon,” Ottawa Bylaw reported on social media and thanked everyone who helped the ducklings.
Drivers are reminded:
Do not stop on busy roads to help animals - it is dangerous. It is better to report the situation to the appropriate services.
